The Connor|Crean Centre is an excellent base from which to work. Because of it's location in the village of Annascaul, it is central to the towns of Dingle, Killarney, Listowel and Tralee.

 

Tralee

Tralee is a industrial town with Kerry Group PLC the world's largest supplier of food ingredients employing 13,500 people worldwide operates this global business from its headquarters in Tralee. Tralee has the Institute of Technology which provides highly qualified and experienced graduates in a wide range of areas but particularly in folk theatre studies which incorporates the study of music, dance, theatre, drama, Irish Culture and folklore, business and information technology. This course is offered in conjunction with Siamsa Tire.
The Siamsa Tire, the National Folk Theartre of Ireland is based in Tralee.

 

Killarney

Killarney is a tourist town with the beautiful scenery and the Muckross House and traditional farm visitor attraction this beautiful stately home surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens and the killarney lakes which can be viewed from horse and cart all is centred in the Killarney National Park. Muckross house was completed in 1843 and both this and the traditional farm are open to the public. The traditional farm is a view of Ireland in the 1930s and 1940s. This was a period before the widespread use of electricity, when all work was carried out using traditional methods.
Killarney also is the location of Ireland's National Event Centre. Beautifully designed this modern events centre is the largest in Ireland.

 

Dingle

Dingle is another popular tourist town also with beautiful scenery and many attractions such as the Dingle ocean world aquarium, the Blasket Centre (Dun Quinn) which celebrates the Irish language and the distinctive character of the people who once lived on the Blasket Islands. The main focus of the centre is the unique literary achievements of this isolated community off the kerry coast which was evacuated in 1953.
We have cinema in Dingle, the Dingle cinema hosts a cinema club on a Tuesday night which shows arthouse movies and provides tea and coffee before the show.

Listowel

Listowel is another lively market town described as the 'Literary Capital of Ireland', Listowel has produced an abundance of world famous writers including John B. Keane and Bryan MacMahon, giving it a uniqueness not to be found in any other part of Ireland. Listowel is home to Writers week, the annual Literary Festival held in June, the famous Listowel Horse-racing Festival held in September and Listowel Food fair held in November.
Listowel is a hub of art and culture with St. John's Theatre and Arts Centre hosting a broad programme of theatrical events throughout the year. There are three drama groups based in the Town.
The Garden of Europe, Listowel's - hidden treasure, is located in the Town Park and contains more than 2,500 trees and shrubs from all European countries. It also contains Ireland's only public monument to the memory of the millions who died in the Holocaust. Listowel castle , adjacent to the kerry literary and cultural centre, dates back to the 5th century and was the stronghold of the Fitzmaurices, the Anglo-Norman Earls of Kerry.

 

Sports

Watersport activities are available in Maherees, Castlegregory provided by Jamie Knox such as windsurfing, surfing, courses available for beginners and intermediate, kids are also welcome. Castlegregory is just about 30 min drive from Annascaul.

Golf is available at ballybunion golf course which has hosted such celebrities as President Bill Clinton, Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan. Ceann Sibeal, Ballyferriter, Dingle has an 18 hole golf course and there are many more.
